The Goodrums

Something that's much harder than leaving material things is saying goodbye to the close friends we've made here in Jackson. Thankfully we know it's not the end. I'm confident that we'll stay close to several of the friends we've made here.

On Sunday, our current small group had a little going away surprise dinner for us. Too sweet! We went to a local Mexican joint - Fernando's - and followed that by a round with the slang flash cards! Too fun!

We also got to hang out with our friends from the Central MS A&M Club this past weekend. We watched the painful A&M v. Tech game - and spent a couple hours together recuperating afterwards. Although we've only known a few of them for a short time, we're going to miss them as well.

We've spent the majority of our time of late spending time with the people we cherish here. Friends, neighbors, buddies... We haven't had many meals at home - but that's good. I'm sure we'll have a couple months with plenty of meals at home while we adjust to new places and meet new friends. We are treasuring the times and memories now.
