Since Evergreen Mountain Loop wasn't enough hiking for one day, we decided to check out another nearby trail. The trail to Maxwell Falls is an "easy" 1.5 mile hike with only about 250 feet elevation gain/loss. It's a beautiful hike and a pretty (albeit small) falls.

Uhhh... isn't it a requirement that you get lost at least once on every hiking adventure
It sure didn't help that there were trees down over the trail.

She did a much better job than I did. I think it's also a requirement that I fall on at least one stream crossing in every hiking trip. I almost made it two on this one.

Kelly and Christy decided to hike up above the falls. The next picture looks down on everyone else at the falls from the top.

After our long hikes, we decided to take a break and rest our feet - soak them for a few minutes in the stream. The water was freezing and the view was beautiful.

All in all it was a great day. Plus, there was aji de gallina for dinner ...and cheesecake. :)
