Life has been so crazy for us lately. Just in the last two weeks, we have/will have:
- Returned from Thanksgiving in Lubbock
- Traveled to Hawaii for 5 days for work (Michael)
- Had our sprinklers blown out (so water doesn't freeze in them and rupture the pipes)
- Had the microwave repair folks out (only to order a part and reschedule the appointment for 10 days later)
- Had a home inspection (as preview to our one year warranty meeting)
- Had the pest control guy out
- Taken a Red Cross CPR training class (9 hours in the evenings)
- Gotten a haircut (small trim for Jennifer)
- Had a minor foot surgery/procedure (Michael)
- Attended Michael's work Christmas party
- Attended a fondue party with friends
- Attended the neighborhood Christmas party
- Attended the Denver A&M Club Christmas party
- Written and mailed our Christmas letter
- Shopped for Christmas gifts for family
...and this is just the personal stuff.
This doesn't include the after work meetings and 7am conference calls; the needing to work overtime because there's way too much work to do in the 8-to-5 time slot alloted, but there just is no overtime left with everything else that's going on. It also doesn't include waking up at 5am twice a week for pilates.
Aren't the holidays supposed to be a time to slow down and relax? That's a fallacy if I've ever heard one!
Phew... it's no wonder that I'm exhausted.
