Wow! What a morning... I would never have thought that we would actually get hit by a hurricane - 150 miles inland.

The radio is reporting sustained winds of 50 mph here in Jackson, with gusts up to 70 and 80 mph. The worst of the storm is supposed to pass through Jackson around 7:00 p.m. The center of the storm is supposed to pass about 20 miles to the east of Jackson. They are hoping the storm will begin to calm around 1 or 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.

We've had a couple tornado warnings this afternoon - tornadoes spotted within about 20 miles of where we live. Fortunately of us, most of the tornado threats are east of here.

Michael is working the outage call center today. He is supposed to work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. but if the weather is bad at 5:00 they may not let them go home.

Our power is going in and out - so we'll update when possible.
