The Goodrums

I love weekends! This one was especially fun - all play, no work. :) The weather was beautiful - clear blue skies, a little chilly. We have great friends too - which makes it all the better.

On Saturday, we went down to the Reservoir (we could have walked - the park we went to is probably less than 1/2 a mile away) with our small group friends. We brought a football and frisbees, our friends' dogs, the camera (a really, really nice one - wish it was ours, darn) and the shark kite. We played hard and we had fun. We even tried to climb a very large tree to rescue a stranded kite (thankfully not the shark kite).

Once we were nice and worn out, we came back to our house and had dinner. Michael made a really good veggie lasagna. Then we played Catch Phrase - always worthy of at least a few good laughs. Bet you didn't know that "whirlygig" was a word. We sure didn't.

Yes that is a person up there (small white spec). If you look closely you will also see a blue patch at the top and center of the picture - which was the kite we were trying to free.
