The Goodrums

We had a great time hanging out with Michael's sister, Stephanie - our first visitor. She arrived Sunday evening. She got a tour of the house (including the guest bedroom with the full sized bed and twin bedset... ummm yeah - haven't exactly bought bedding to fit our new acquisition yet) and we went to eat at the really cool P.F. Chang's nearby. She attended a conference downtown during the day on Monday and Tuesday. Monday evening we went to visit Michael's new office and to eat at a New Mexican restaurant - Little Anita's. We tried to go to the original location all the way across town but it was closed for renovations - Monday and Tuesday only. Go figure! They had just opened a new location pretty close to us - so we went there instead. Michael and Stephanie both were ooh-ing and ahh-ing over their food the entire time. Guess it was pretty good. I'm not really a New Mexican food connoisseur (this is actually the first time that the food was mild enough I could eat it - go Denver New Mexican food!).

After dinner, we dragged poor Stephanie on a tour of the local REI - our first visit since we arrived (I know that's hard to believe...). We headed home before too long because we were getting this strange ice pellet form of precipitation (not really sleet, not really snow). It changed to snow by later that evening, snowed all day today and is supposed to snow through tomorrow. We will probably get a couple inches. Thankfully Stephanie was able to make it out of dodge before it got too crazy around here. We're definitely glad that she came to visit.
