Last night, we had the blessing of having one of my childhood friends (we used to be in a little playgroup when we were 2 or 3, we also went to high school together) come and stay with us for the evening. Michelle (Ford) Dawson, her husband Henry and their friends Matt and Mel all crashed at our little house. They were all troopers, as air mattresses abounded. We don't have many real beds around here. :)
Henry & Michelle (and Matt & Mel also) spent last year in Florence, Italy with Campus Crusade for Christ. They are joining staff with Crusade and spent the last two weeks in training in Orlando, Florida. On their way back home to Dallas/Denton, they stopped and stayed the night with us. We took them to Julep for dinner and then gave them the grand tour of our house (the grand tour takes less than 5 minutes).
It was so good to catch up with an "old" friend and to meet some new ones too. We had a great time hearing about families, a little about Italy and sharing some of our recent experiences too. We don't get many visitors in Jackson - so our doors are always open. Come one, come all (hint, hint)!

I can't decide if I'm squinting due to the sun or just not being awake yet. My hair wasn't even dry and people were already taking pictures of me. That's just not right!! ;-)
